Virachai Vongbunsin, Aadersh Joshi, Asbin Poudel

Abstract

This study paper sought to explore the interaction between the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) on the brand development of higher education institutions. Hence, the study considered brand development of the private schools as the dependent variable, which is based on the independent variables of services, information technology, smooth operation, human resources, and marketing activities of the schools that form the ERP process. Based on the primary data collected through the questionnaire survey method, the ‘case study-based’ paper found a significant, positive relationship between brand development and ERP in the private schools of Kathmandu Valley. The results also reveal that the software customisations developed for meeting statutory requirements caused implementation challenges during the enterprise software implementation and it impacted on the school’s brand.
