Investigating the relationship between participation rate and employee coping with change

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between participation rate and employee coping with changes in paramedical faculty of ShahidBeheshti University of Tehran. For this purpose, 43 employees of educational and administrative staff and faculty with the help of Jersey and Morgan formula (1998) and Simple random sampling method was selected as the research sample. Researcher-made questionnaire was used to measure the rate of participation in decision making and coping with change. Content validity of this questionnaire was confirmed by experts in this field and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha test. At the end, the results were analyzed by means of Pearson correlation coefficient and the results showed that there was no relationship between participation rate and employee coping ratio. Also, there was no significant relationship between satisfaction and coping level of employees, but there was a significant relationship between difference in opinion and staff coping.
