Abstract


There are different scholarly definitions of city branding and branding itself. It makes the concept to be contested. However, the motive of this paper is to discuss the definition and argument from various scholarly perception on the concept of city branding. The paper, firstly, puts the description of city branding into consideration. The phenomenon of city branding will also be thoroughly discussed. Secondly, the paper presents diverse arguments among scholars about city branding including the famous scholars such as Kotler, Kavaratziz, and Anholt..
