A Review of the Implications of Terrorism on National Cohesion in Nigeria

Abstract


Since 2009, terrorism occasioned by the activities of the violent extremist group popularly known as Boko haram has posed a serious security problem in Nigeria. This has resulted into huge loss of lives and property as well as huge loss of financial resources which would have been invested in other meaningful ventures. The activities of the group has since then shook the foundation of the nation, putting a question to the existence of the nation. This study aims at investigating the implications of terrorism on national cohesion in Nigeria.
