Differences of Adversity Quotient between Students Working With That Does Not Work

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of adversity quotient between students who work with unemployed students. This research uses quantitative research approach. Respondents in this study are regular students as many as 40 people and students who lecture and work as many as 60 people. Data analysis in this study using independent sample test. Based on the results of this research analysis known value of T-393, and the value of sig of .696 which means there is no significant difference between students who work with students who do not work. Based on the mean comparison of the adversity quotient dimension, the Origin and ownership dimension and the respondents' reach are in the high category, explaining how a student views the source of the problem whether it tends to view the problem as coming from the student self or outside the student as well as the explaining where difficulties will reach other parts of the student's life to limit the scope of the problem to be able to think clearly in taking action, while the control and endurance dimensions of the respondents are in the medium category reveal how much control students feel about an event that will cause difficulties and explain about the endurance of students facing the problem. Based on the identity of the respondents gender is known male respondents have an average AQ higher than the average AQ of women, but both are in the same category that is high. Based on the description of the mean by sex, men have a higher mean value than women. Based on the age range of respondents, the highest number of respondents with the highest score is the age range 15-20.
